Okay the story: Well we met with the Olympic View van around 4:30 Am at a Chevron in Lynnwood. We got started...as were driving through northern washington...both vans have a walkie talkie...the "big van" gets pulled over! yup that's right by a coper! the uhaul trailer lights weren't working so they had to wiggle the wires a wee bit. So we finally got going again. We got throught US-Canadian Border in a flash! We were now in the awesome country of Canada where there are Kilometers instead of Miles. After driving for about 4 hours after crossing the border the big van hit ice and spunout. the lil van was the car i was in. we were about 6 kilometers ahead and we pulled over because we couldnt get the big van on the walkie talkie anymore. A nice couple drove up beside us and said that the van had spunout. so we kept driving until we could turn around. The u-haul had twisted around and hit the side of the van. no one was seriously hurt. so we started driving once we found the walkie talkie which everyone thought it flew out the window but it was actually under the drivers seat. Steve wass now driving instead of Jon. We pulled into a little town to get the window which broke fixed. Andre was a lil shooken up so they took him to the hospital. We all ate lunch then when the window was fixed we went to see Andre. the hospital couldnt treat him as good as they would like so they decided to transport him in an ambulance to Kamloops. So we started for Kamloops after Andre. Rina was driving now. We didn't get very far though. The van was having problems like the battery was low power. so the lil van jump started the big van and we thought we were good to go until it just died. It ran out of gas on the side of the highway! So both vans pulled over. We were stuck on the side of the highway for 2 hours before someone from a sister church in Kamloops came to the rescue. So when we finally go gas we started at it again. We arrived at the church in Kamloops. We stayed there for the night. Andre was good to go by the time we got there. We got going again the next morning early early the next morning. I was now driving in the Big van. We drove for about 4 hours. Sam was now driving. About two hours later Sam ran a red light and we got pulled over. The thing was there was a glare on the light no joke. So when the cop got the lisence plate number he noticed that the tabs were expired by one day! So it was this big long discussion that somebody from Olympic View forgot to change the tabs. But the officer was really nice about it and let us go just with the light ticket. So we started driving again and finally arrived at NABC really late and they were really nice and left dinner out for us. It was so cold the first night there you would walk outside and the snot in your nose would freeze it was discusting and it didn't feel good. D-Days was good though when we finally got there. We were there for friday saturday and we left early sunday. We stayed at the church in Kamloops again just to be on the safe side. The ride home was really smooth. I got food poisening from Wendy's though so I didn't feel to good. I got to know everyone a little bit more personally. Altogether it was a fun road trip. Especially when riding in the big van.
